Join the Carter Library and the Friends of Mimosa Hall & Gardens for a viewing of A Road Not Taken (2010). This documentary, made by Swiss filmmakers Christina Hemauer and Roman Keller, tells the story of the 32 solar panels installed on the White House in Washington, DC in 1979. The viewing will take place on Tuesday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Carter Library. Come experience what Jimmy Carter believes is the “greatest and most exciting adventures ever undertaken by the American people – harnessing the power of the sun to enrich our lives as we move away from our crippling dependence on foreign oil.”
Installation of Historic Solar Panel

The City of Roswell and Friends of Mimosa Hall are set to install a solar panel at historic Mimosa Hall originally used on the White House during Jimmy Carter’s presidency. On loan from Unity College, the installation will take place on Thursday, June 20 at 5:00 p.m. The event will mark the 40 year commemoration of the original installation on the White House in 1979 and will serve as a symbolic marker of the progress, community and continued efforts in alternative energy.

Ice Cream for a Good Cause
We'll be cranking Mimosa ice cream for the 14th Miss Mary's Ice Cream Crankin' Event on August 26th!
Miss Mary's Ice Cream Crankin' Event, a fundraiser for The Drake House (benefiting homeless women and children), is scheduled for Sunday, August 26th from 2-4 PM in the Roswell Square.
With all-you-can-eat homemade Ice Cream, Ice Cream eating and stacking contents for the kids, music, face painting and more, it's the perfect way to cool off on a hot August afternoon. Entry is $6 a person, $25 per family (up to 5 people).
